SUMMARY:Prospettive multidisciplinari sugli erbari di alghe
DESCRIPTION:Mercoledì 16 settembre\, dalle ore 11\, in Teatro botanico è in programma il workshop internazionale Mobilising algae: multidisciplinary perspectives on algae herbaria across space and time\, una giornata di studio dedicata al ruolo degli algari nella ricerca scientifica\, nella conservazione del patrimonio botanico e nella valorizzazione delle collezioni storiche. L’iniziativa riunisce studiose e studiosi provenienti da università\, musei e istituti di ricerca italiani e internazionali per un confronto sulle più recenti prospettive di studio e sulle potenzialità offerte da questi preziosi archivi della biodiversità. \nGli algari conservano non solo campioni raccolti in epoche e luoghi diversi\, ma anche le tracce delle pratiche scientifiche\, delle reti di collaborazione e della circolazione delle conoscenze che hanno accompagnato lo sviluppo della ricerca nel tempo. Attraverso casi di studio italiani e internazionali\, il workshop ne esplora il valore come patrimonio scientifico e culturale\, affrontando temi quali la formazione delle collezioni\, la digitalizzazione\, la conservazione e la valorizzazione del patrimonio algologico museale e mettendo in luce il ruolo degli algari come luoghi di incontro tra scienze naturali e discipline umanistiche\, capaci di offrire nuove prospettive sulle relazioni tra esseri umani\, alghe e ambiente. \nL’intera giornata si svolge in lingua inglese.\nLa partecipazione è gratuita\, su prenotazione tramite il form presente in questa pagina. \nProgramma del workshop \nEnglish version \nOn Wednesday 16 September\, starting at 11 am in the Botanical Theatre\, the international workshop Mobilising Algae: Multidisciplinary Perspectives on Algae Herbaria Across Space and Time will bring together scholars to explore the role of algae herbaria in scientific research\, the conservation of botanical heritage and the enhancement of historical collections. The event will welcome researchers from Italian and international universities\, museums and research institutions to discuss current research perspectives and the potential of these invaluable repositories of biodiversity. \nAlgae herbaria preserve not only specimens collected across different places and periods\, but also evidence of scientific practices\, collaborative networks and the circulation of knowledge that have shaped research over time. Through Italian and international case studies\, the workshop will explore their value as both scientific and cultural heritage\, addressing topics such as the development of collections\, digitisation\, conservation and the enhancement of algological museum collections. Particular attention will be given to algae herbaria as meeting points between the natural sciences and the humanities\, offering new perspectives on the relationships between humans\, algae and the environment. \nThe workshop will be held entirely in English.
