Combining scientific research with everyday care, entertainment with information, Risvegli. La festa dei fiori—the spring festival of the world’s oldest botanical garden—returns from May 1 to 3. An inexhaustible source of knowledge, an inspiration for art and literature, and a natural resource, flowers and plants take center stage in a true garden of wonders, suspended amidst scents and colors. A multisensory journey with activities suitable for everyone, celebrating nature and culture. At the heart of the eleventh edition are flowers as symbols of cycles, transformations, and change, explored through meetings with international guests, dialogues between science and art, and guided tours to discover the city’s green heritage.

This year’s events and conferences will feature numerous international guests and organizations, offering in-depth scientific discussions and dialogues that explore the interplay between biodiversity, culture, and the relationship between humans and nature. It is an invitation to explore the plant world through history, science, and new perspectives, providing opportunities for discussion and discovery.

Several scheduled events will be held in English or French with simultaneous translation into Italian.

Participation in the events is free of charge, by reservation only, and does not include admission to the Botanical Garden; for some events, entry is via Prato della Valle 57/C.

From May 1 to 3, during the festival, the Botanical Garden will be open exceptionally from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. (last admission at 6:15 p.m.).
