Dog rose

The first branch of dog rose comes from Lošinj, an important island in Croatia. The second, part of the Flora Dalmatica, is accompanied by a label where De Visiani states that he saw the plant in hedges and bramble thickets throughout Dalmatia, citing the cities of Zadar, Šibenik and Split as examples. All the specimens were reviewed by the Belgian botanist François Crépin in 1893.
