Lemon

This citrus fruit is very sensitive to cold and therefore in Italy is only cultivated along the coasts of the southern regions and Liguria. It is particularly important in the food and chemical industries. The specimen comes from the Ferrara Botanical Garden where it was cultivated, although the label states that the branch originates from a “forma rinselvatichita” (“feral form”).
